Prof. zw. dr hab. Cezary Obracht-Prondzyński pracuje w Instytucie Socjologii Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego (kierownik Zakładu Antropologii Społecznej oraz Pomorskiego Centrum Badań nad Kulturą). Jest socjologiem, antropologiem i historykiem. Zainteresowania badawcze dotyczą: problematyki Kaszub i Pomorza, uczestnictwa w kulturze, mniejszości narodowych i etnicznych, polityki regionalnej i samorządności. Autor i współautor ponad 30 książek, redaktor ponad 20, autor kilkuset artykułów naukowych, popularnonaukowych, publicystycznych. Prezes Instytutu Kaszubskiego.

Prof. zw. dr hab. Cezary Obracht-Prondzyński works at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Gdańsk (head of the Social Anthropology Department and the Pomeranian Cultural Studies Centre). He is a sociologist, anthropologist, and a historian. His research field involves the problems of the Kashubian and Pomeranian regions, participation in culture, national and ethnic minorities, as well as regional policy and self-government. Author and co-author of over 30 books, editor of over 20 books, author of several hundred scientific articles, popular science publications and journalist articles. President of Instytut Kaszubski (Kashubian Institute).
