Oksana Zabuzhko (b.1960), Ukraine’s major writer and public intellectual, authors over twenty books (poetry, fiction, non-fiction), and is internationally known with her novels Field Work in Ukrainian Sex (1996), and The Museum of Abandoned Secrets (2010). Her books have been translated into seventeen languages, and won her many awards (MacArthur Grant, Angelus Central European Literary Prize, Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, et al.).
