Christoph von Marschall is Chief Diplomatic Correspondent for „Tagesspiegel”, the leading daily in Berlin, Vice-Chairman of the Berlin Press Club and author of several books. His main topics include international politics, power shifts between the great powers, the European Union, the US and relations with China and Russia. After studying East European History in Freiburg, Mainz and Kraków (Poland), he reported on the democratic revolutions in Hungary, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria, initially for „Süddeutsche Zeitung”. In 1991 he moved to „Tagesspiegel”, where he ran the opinion page for many years. From 2005 to 2013 and 2016 to 2018 he was the US and White House Correspondent.
