Politolog, dr nauk ekonomicznych, wykładowca akademicki Akademii Finansów i Biznesu Vistula, a także ekspert Team Europe, zespołu doradców Komisji Europejskiej. Dr Nowak był prezesem Grupy Uczelni Vistula (2020-22), szefem Katedry Stosunków Międzynarodowych AFiB Vistula (2014-2017) i dyrektorem wykonawczym Centrum Stosunków Międzynarodowych (2010-2013). Stypendysta European University Institute we Florencji (2018) i Transatlantic Academy w Waszyngtonie (2013-2014). W przeszłości pełnił funkcje wykonawcze i doradcze w Parlamencie Europejskim (Bruksela-Strasburg, 2004-2009) oraz Konwencie ds. Przyszłości Europy (Bruksela, 2002-2003). Przed przystąpieniem Polski do UE był współzałożycielem i członkiem Rady Programowej Inicjatywy „TAK w Referendum” (2002-2003), a także Narodowej Rady Integracji Europejskiej (2002-2004).

A political scientist, he holds a PhD in Economics. Dr Nowak teaches at Vistula University and is a member of Team Europe – an advisory expert group to the European Commission. He was the President of the Vistula Group of Universities (2020-22), Chair of International Relations at Vistula University (2014-2017), and Executive Director of the Centre for International Relations (2010-2013). Dr Nowak was a fellow at the European University Institute in Florence (2018), and Transatlantic Academy in Washington (2013-2014). He also performed executive and advisory functions in the European Parliament (Brussels-Strasbourg, 2004-2009), and at the Convention on the Future of Europe (Brussels, 2002-2003). Before Poland acceded to the EU, Dr Nowak was a co-founder and member of the Programme Board of the Initiative – “YES in the Referendum” (2002–2003), and a member of the National Council for European Integration (2002–2004).
