Seona Candy is a senior researcher at Demos Helsinki and leading the topic area of ecological and transition justice. She is the project coordinator for Demos’ activities in TANDEM, a Horizon EU research project using a deliberative approach to co-develop just transition pathways to sustainability in energy and mobility. Seona has over a decade of experience with transdisciplinary, multi-stakeholder research projects focusing on socio-ecological-technological systems and sustainability transformations. These range from developing narratives and modelling scenarios for future food systems, to co-creating low-carbon visions and pathways for cities. Before joining Demos in 2022, she worked at the University of Helsinki, University of Melbourne and Co-Design Studio. Seona has a PhD in Infrastructure Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
